We had a BLAST! This entertaining venue offered a fun-filled evening out with our favorite couple, as we wanted to enjoy salsa music, salsa dance lessons, and a live band. Again, another experience that was well worth the cost! The bar and lounge is off the beaten path, in an area that at first glance, you might be a bit uncertain, however, parking is directly across the street in view of the front entrance, and is an easy walkable distance. At the door, we were greeted and checked by security. We were then warmly welcomed by Angelina, who as it turned out, would be our salsa dance instructor, historian, and libations server. From there, our adventure began. She introduced herself to our small group of four couples and our lesson began. If you are looking for easy, step by step instructions on each dance move, hand placement, what should be happening with your upper body/lower body, your whole body, Angelina is THE GOAT! Her breakdown and simplification of EVERY aspect, was easy to understand, to follow, and to execute. She was friendly, patient, and encouraging to each of us, individually, and as couples. Throughout, the lesson was also riddled with tidbits of historical trivia, as Angelina easily shared her knowledge of Puerto Rico, salsa dance, and explained the use and sounds of some of the instruments. Hands down, of the salsa lessons we have taken, she was the most interesting, easy to follow, and personable instructor we’ve ever had. At the end of our lesson, she announced the dance floor was open, inviting other patrons seated at tables, who were eagerly awaiting the chance to show off their salsa moves! Angelina also very generously requested our drink orders, shared them with the bartender, and served each of us our drinks (one free, per person was included in the ticket price). An absolute MUST DO! Our cost per person was based on our ticket price for the overall lesson and drink, and is not reflective of the venue prices in general.
